At The Heart of Easter
He Carried Our Weight
The Death of Jesus
On a hill outside Jerusalem, Jesus of Nazareth gave His life as the perfect sacrifice. Every sin, every wound, every moment of despair you have ever carried: He took it upon Himself. The cross is not a symbol of defeat. It is the greatest act of love the world has ever witnessed.
"He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness." 2 Peter 2:24
Silence Before the Dawn
The Burial of Jesus
The tomb was sealed. The disciples scattered. Hope, it seemed, had been buried with Him. There is sacred meaning in the silence of Holy Saturday — it mirrors every moment we have sat in our own darkness, wondering if God is still at work. He was. He always is.
"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too may live a new life."Romans 6:4
The Morning That Changed History
The Resurrection of Jesus
On the third day, the stone was rolled away. The tomb was empty. Death had been swallowed up in victory. The resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith: if Christ is risen, then every promise God has ever made stands unshakeable.
"He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay."Matthew 28:6
